Who To Notify About Your Move

1. Alarm & Security Systems Companies:
2. Computer & Other Equipment Companies: Contact for pre-move and after-move service.

   • Mailing Machines
   • Lab Equipment

3. Customers and Clients:
Prepare mass email or fax to inform them of moving date, new address and phone numbers.
4. Fire Department:

Have hookup ready for move day.

8. Locksmith:
Have extra keys made if not available from the new Building Management.
9. Magazine and Periodical Circulation Departments:
Give 4-6 weeks notice.
10. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA):
Contact for the necessary permits.
11. Pager & Cell Phone Billing:
Give ample notice to arrange disconnect and reconnect dates.
12. Post Office:
Fill out change of address forms 1 week prior to moving so all mail is forwarded.
13. Printing Company:
Have all stationary letterheads, business forms, statements, business cards, etc. reprinted with the new information so they are ready for the first day at the new location.
14. Storage Facilities:
Give ample notice to all records, files, and archives storage facilities of new address or to arrange for relocation to new destination city.
15. Suppliers:
Give at least 2 weeks notice. You could be held responsible for re-consignment charges without an ample notice of a change in address.
16. Telephone Company:
Arrange to have new site phones connected 1 day before move day and have present location phones disconnected only after move is completed.
17. Trash Removal Services:
Arrange for dumpster at present location if there is an abundance of garbage.
18. Utilities:
Give disconnect dates, and switch dates, if applicable, to water, gas and electric companies.
19. Vending Machine Suppliers:
Contact coffee, water, soda and snack suppliers.
